HBA joins industry leaders at the 5th Hospitality Thailand Conference 2026

Joseph Cruz, Partner & Global Principal at HBA Leisure; Tania Kaushal, Managing Principal at Coopers Hill; and Thomas Meier, Design Director at HBA Bangkok, joined the 5th Hospitality Thailand Conference, Thailand’s most influential event for hospitality leaders, held at Eastin Grand Hotel Sathorn Bangkok on 13 May.

Across two panel discussions, the conversation explored how hospitality design can respond meaningfully to place, culture, and evolving guest expectations.

Moderating the session “Contextual Design: Urban vs Resort Strategies for Maximum Impact,” Joseph guided a discussion on designing for diverse hospitality environments, while Tania contributed perspectives on balancing contextual responsiveness with brand clarity and commercial relevance.

In a separate session, “Story-Led Design for Destination Hotels,” Thomas discussed how narrative-driven design can shape distinctive hospitality destinations, drawing on storytelling and cultural context to create meaningful guest experiences.
