Chris Godfrey, Co-CEO of HBA, served as a keynote speaker at the Interior Design Forum during Hotel & Shop Plus 2026, held at the Shanghai New International Expo Center on 31 March. As part of one of Asia’s most established hospitality and commercial design exhibitions, the forum convened leading international voices to examine the evolving direction of the built environment under the theme “The Awakening of Design: Intelligent Healing & Symbiosis.”
Chris joined industry leaders in discussing how design is increasingly shaped by wellbeing, sustainability, and emotional resonance. His keynote highlighted design as a form of human-centric healing, positioning spaces as emotional infrastructure that influences how we feel, behave, and recover – embedding healing in the spatial experience itself.
