Akihiro Wakasa has been passionately involved in hospitality design field both in Interior Design & Architectural Design for more than 20 years.

Upon gaining his Bachelor degree in California he worked on a number of high-end hotel projects in the US developing F&B, SPA, Salons, & Guestrooms. Upon returning to Asia, he has spent 4 years developing his skills further focused on F&B venues on high profile projects as a Design Director.

With his versatile experiences, he is able to fuse practicality and creativity to deliver well-thought spaces for each client by listening client needs carefully, researching surrounding contexts, applying innovative solutions, and with his dedicated passion. At present, he is a Principal at HBA Tokyo, to lead the office and continuously immersing in hospitality design industry.
