The overall design style is informed by an in-depth study of local culture, from which five themes are drawn – “welcome, rituals, enjoyment, music, and feast.” These themes reinterpret Nanjing’s identity as the “ancient capital of six dynasties” and a centre of refined culture, highlighting a sense of grandeur and timeless nobility.
