Salvador Rivas Trujillo
Principal
Salvador Rivas is a Mexico City-based architect and business strategist with nearly three decades of cross-sector experience across Mexico, Latin America, and international markets. Trained at the Universidad Veracruzana and holding a Master’s in Architectural Design from University College London, he is a RIBA Chartered Architect — a distinction exceptionally rare in Latin America — and founder of S*ARC, the first RIBA Chartered Practice established in the region. His career has been shaped by early collaborations with globally renowned firms including Foster+Partners, HOK, and HKS, which grounded him in international design standards before returning to build deep regional expertise across hospitality, mixed-use, aviation, residential, and urban infrastructure.
At HBA, Salvador serves as Principal for Mexico, driving the firm’s market entry and growth strategy across Mexico and the broader region. He brings an extensive network of developers, investors, and operators cultivated over more than a decade of active market presence, and is a recognised speaker at design and real estate forums for his ability to translate complex market dynamics into clear strategic direction. His appointment represents the convergence of world-class hospitality design expertise and on-the-ground intelligence — positioning HBA to capture a significant share of Latin America’s fast-growing luxury hospitality sector.
