An accomplished architect and design leader with over two decades of experience across Asia and Europe, Roderick combines a unique creative vision with strategic management and business acumen, leading large-scale projects throughout the APAC region with a focus on hospitality, residential, and mixed-use developments.  

Raised in Hong Kong, trained and educated in the UK, Roderick played a pivotal role in establishing Make Architects’ first Asian offices in Beijing and Hong Kong. In 2017, he joined Conran and Partners, where he launched their Hong Kong branch – Conran and Partners’ first and only studio outside the UK. Under his leadership, the studio rapidly evolved from a little-known entity in Hong Kong into a thriving practicewith robust foundations and design ethos, securing enduring relationships with top-tier developers and hotel operators, alongside numerous high-profile projects. 

A natural driver and innovator, Roderick has been appointed to lead HBA’s strategic expansion in Hong Kong. He will seamlessly bridge architecture and interior design within HBA Hong Kong’s portfolio, which currently focuses on luxury hospitality and residential interior design, while incorporating architectural services, master planning, and façade design. The expansion of HBA Hong Kong’s expertise will provide clients with a synergistic and integrated design experience that redefines standards, shaping user-centred spaces that are truly bespoke to the unique context and culture in which they are situated.
