Collaborating with Watermark Retirement Communities and Freshwater Group, HBA Los Angeles and HBA Procurement have brought resort-style living to The Watermark at Westwood Village – a luxury senior community. Approaching the project with a hospitality-minded perspective, the design team sought to honour the structure’s mid-century modernist roots, reinterpreted through a contemporary lens. By exploring the deconstruction of boundaries, an architectural vocabulary was created that engages with nature-inspired spatial relationships.
